Unified Technologies has four primary divisions offering our customers business solutions. The spotlight this week is on our ISS (Integrated Security Solutions) division. Solutions offered range from state-of-the-art security and access control systems to a full line of Audio Visual designs to a structured cabling project for supporting any IT application.
ISS may be one of the multiple divisions involved from UT on a project which builds a lot of synergy with our internal communication avoiding unnecessary delays and other challenges created by disconnects between multiple vendors.
The ISS experience starts when Jason Becker, our ISS Sales Engineer teams up with an Account Executive to design the perfect solution for our customer’s needs. Jason works with our ISS Operations Manager David Balcom and our estimator Matt Shindlebower to complete the design and build a proposal.
Once the design is approved by the customer, the wheels are set in motion for ISS Operations. The job is handed off to a dedicated Project Manager who works closely with Customer to ensure expectations are met and communication stays high. The PMs work in tandem with Lisa Simon our Logistics Manager. It’s her job to schedule our technicians, order the parts and coordinate any third parties or heavy equipment to be used on the job.
Our team of ISS Field Technicians have over 300 years of combined industry experience and carry all the safety credentials and manufacturers certifications to ensure a professionally installed solution.
The ISS “Complete” Maintenance Plan compliments our solutions with a peace of mind in knowing that all hardware, software assurance and labor is fully covered by Unified Technologies with a 24/7/365 service level agreement.
Lastly, our ISS Service Manager Matt Tedford ensures we honor our service level agreements for our existing Customers regarding any service needs.
The ISS Division has 114 jobs on the books this year to date. We’ve been working at General Electric, Louisville Water Company and the Louisville Airport just to mention a few.
Here are a few recent ISS projects we are proud to be part of:
- We are in the middle of a deployment for L&N Federal Credit Union’s 22 branch offices throughout Kentucky/Southern Indiana and new Louisville three story Headquarter office (under construction). That project consists of Access Control integrated with Intrusion/Monitoring and Video Surveillance. Replacing the legacy system with a centralized Access/Intrusion system and single point of administration. The access system is integrated with the customer’s both Active Directory and the Video Surveillance platform utilizing smart phone applications for remote monitoring/admin.
- The team is just beginning a project for the Boyle County Cooperative in Danville, KY. That is an AV project for integrating centralized AV for a quad meeting rooms equipped with retractable, divided rooms to be designed to; merge together as one very large presentation space, to work in pairs as two large rooms or to operate independently as four conferencing spaces. AV projection and wireless presentation hubs will also be installed in other spaces within the facility.
- At the Water Tower Square in Jeffersonville, IN. with Cornerstone Group we just completed a large Infrastructure project for a new four-story complex for residential units and business tenant spaces. Our solution provides over (600) Cat. 6 data cables with a fiber backbone installed to support all IP voice, data, video surveillance, AV, and door access systems.
