Tell us a little bit about the type of work you do at Unified Technologies and your job responsibilities.
Vice President of Customer Experience – my role at Unified Technologies is to oversee our Operations Department and ensure a consistent, outstanding experience for our customer during EVERY interaction they have with our organization.
We have a group of outstanding people that want to best serve our partners, I want to make sure that each team member is equipped, trained and empowered to deliver the highest level of customer service possible.
When you aren’t at work, what keeps you busy?
My two daughters take up a lot of my time outside of work, and I love every minute of it!! Both girls swim competitively throughout the year, so a lot of time is spent as their taxi driver and #1 cheerleader. I also lead a life group of 20 + high school aged boys at Southland Christian Church. The opportunity to share life with these guys in such an important stage of their development is something that I will cherish for the rest of my days.
Have you always been in this industry? If not, what brought you where you are today?
No, only since February of this year. I have been in Customer Service leadership roles for the past 20 years, primarily in the document management industry. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with and learning from some outstanding mentors. From that, one very important lesson that I learned is that you must have a passion for what you are doing to make a positive impact.
What brought me to Unified Technologies is very simple, it’s the people and culture of the organization. The first time I walked in the door at Unified and got to speak with members of the leadership team, I knew that I wanted to be a part of this special place. You can feel the energy the second you walk in the door, and the core values of the company are present in every individual you come across. It’s truly a unique place and I am thrilled to be a part of this team.
What’s one thing you love about what you do for a living?
Simple, helping others!!
What you do for fun or to unwind?
I love road trips with the family, playing golf, socializing with friends, and working in the yard. Being outdoors and admiring God’s wonderful creation is a must!!
If you could do one thing for a living that had nothing to do with your current job, what would it be?
It would have to be coaching college basketball at a high D1 level.
Favorite food or snack?
Pizza and a good craft beer!
Family info – kids, siblings, where are you from, born?
Married for 18 years to my wife Shana. We have two beautiful daughters, Morgan (17) and Macee (9). I am the youngest of 4 siblings and was born and raised in Danville, Ky.
