On Friday night, February 23rd, the employees of Unified Technologies gathered in our Louisville office Training Center for some recognition, some picture taking and a whole lot of fun!
The theme for Unified Technologies’ 3rd Annual Awards Banquet played off the hit TV show “This Is Us.” We flipped it to “This Is UT.” Using this theme we had many of our employees, partners, and customers record a video saying what UT meant to them. We got a variety of responses from Unified’s own Mike Avery’s, “Sarcasm. One of the many services we offer. This is UT” to our customer, C.J.Archer with Vitok Engineers, who said, “Ibuprofen. This is UT.” His explanation was that we relieve the headaches he used to have over his old communications equipment.

Our Third Annual Awards Banquet Winners
Aside from getting together yearly to celebrate accomplishments as an entire organization, we know the value of individually recognizing outstanding employees and we are so proud of each and everyone who was recognized this year. Here’s a breakdown of each award presented.
And the winners are….
The Mike Fischer Award, granted for ideas and innovation to move the company forward, was presented to Brian Borgman. Brian is an original member and investor in the company. He started 9 years ago in Sales and quickly moved into Sales Management. Last year, Brian shifted out of his comfort zone and stepped in to run Operations. His attention to detail and easy going nature have proved to be perfect for his role as COO.
The Diamond Award was presented to Kevin Hester, one of our Louisville Technicians, for bringing in the most leads in 2017.
The Helen Clasby Core Value Award was presented to Kim Couch. Kim is an original member and investor in Unified. He stepped up in 2017 to take over the Service side of our business. Kim’s high standard of customer service is what this company was built on. His kindness to his fellow employees, as well as our customers, made him the obvious choice to receive this award this year.
2018 Core Value Award Winners
Sales Representative of the Year was, for the second year in a row, Mike Avery with more than $2 million in sales! He was joined by 5 other reps who exceeded the million dollar mark in sales for 2017.
Each department spokesperson highlighted 2017 accomplishments and reviewed goals for 2018. The evening kicked off with a slideshow of pictures from 2017 set to music. We value all of our employees who make a difference each and every day. We hope to continue this tradition of recognizing and honoring our employees who go above and beyond the extra mile that the entire team works to deliver daily.
