Our January customer spotlight shines in Georgetown, Kentucky. Georgetown Municipal Water and Sewer Service partnered with Unified Technologies to install a new Mitel communications platform for their Administration and Customer Service Offices.
About Georgetown Municipal Water and Sewer Service
Georgetown Municipal Water and Sewer Service is a water provider for the communities of Georgetown, parts of Sadieville, Stamping Ground, Midway, and Lexington, Kentucky areas. Their mission includes providing one of the most up-to-date treatment systems in the state.
Georgetown Water was looking for future flexibility and hybrid capabilities. When it came time to replace the telephone equipment, Jane Davis, Account Manager for Unified took the time to discover the needs of the water company’s business with Shawn Derrington, Operations Manager and provided product demonstrations so an informed decision could be made.
They were able to procure the equipment at significantly better pricing due to their National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) membership. Membership is open to all education and government entities as well as nonpublic schools and nonprofit organizations.

We coordinated with the company’s carrier to test everything beforehand. Careful planning ahead of time led to an easy, seamless installation.
