This month’s employee spotlight shines on our Security and Structured Cabling Division. Larry Dennison has been a part of the Unified team since 2012. Last year he took over as Service Manager for the Security and Structured Cabling division. Here’s a little more about Larry in his own words.
Tell us a little bit about the type of work you do at Unified Technologies and your job responsibilities.
I am the infrastructure service manager. Which basically means if you’re having a problem with your equipment, I’m gonna come out and fix it for you.
When you aren’t at work, what keeps you busy?
Family time pretty much eats up all my spare time whether it’s running my daughter from here to there or taking my son to his activities, they keep my wife and I pretty busy.
Have you always been in this industry? If not, what brought you where you are today?
I started off as an electrician installing home security systems and now I do it all for Unified.
What’s one thing you love about what you do for a living?
I love working with my hands. Even as a small kid I liked taking my toys the park and seeing if I could beef them up with bigger motors and different style electronics.
What you do for fun or to unwind?
Mostly watch the Cardinals play any sport, doesn’t matter which one. I’ve watched cardinal hockey games, football games baseball, and basketball. You name it and I’ve tried to watch it. Or just hanging out with my wife and kids.
If you could do one thing for a living that had nothing to do with your current job, what would it be?
I would love to be the announcer at the KFC Yum Center.
Is there something fun or interesting that you’d like people to know about you?
I spent three years as an F/A-18 Hornet (US Navy fighter jet) mechanic.
Favorite food or snack
That’s easy. My favorite food is my wife’s meatloaf it is to die for.

I am happily married and have been since 2000. We have two beautiful children; a boy (14) and a girl (11).
