That being said, there is nothing quite like Louisville in the Fall, with beautiful colors and festivals galore, there is so much to see and do!

We thought we would do a round-up of the Top 5 Fall Festivals in the Louisville area:

1. Taste of Louisville:

The iconic Taste of Louisville takes place every October, featuring 58 food and beverage companies, you are sure to find something that everyone in your group will love! Each year the Taste of Louisville donates a portion of their proceeds to a local charity, so not only are you eating tasty food, you will be eating for a good cause.

2. Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular:

If you have yet to experience the amazing sight of the jack-o-lantern spectacular, this is the year to do it! The event takes place in Iroquois park and runs from October 13th – November 6th. There are over 5,000 carved and lit pumpkins on display over the span of a 1/4 mile trail.

3. Bernheim Colorfest

Located just about 30 minutes from Louisville, our partner the Bernheim Forest is an easy trip that won’t disappoint and Colorfest is no exception. In mid-October, families flock to the historic park for good old-fashioned fall fun. With events like pumpkin slingshots, a hay maze, mud pie station and more, your family will be occupied for the entire day!

4. Jeffersontown Pumpkin Fest

Throw the costumes on your kids and head to downtown J-Town for some trick or treating fun. Local businesses open their doors to hand out sweet treats to the ghosts and goblins that will be showing up for treats rather than tricks.

5. Foxhollow Farm Fall Festival

This fall festival in its 8th year is a fundraiser for Maryhurst Children’s home. The Foxhollow takes pride in putting on this old-fashioned fall festival, with live music for the adults and an interactive children’s stage. If you have been trying to find a specific food truck without luck, chances are you will find them at the festival. There will be food galore at the festival, most of it coming from the vibrant Louisville food truck scene!
