Here’s our conversation with Amber Simpson of Coldstream Laboratories.
What drew your company to make a connection with Unified Technologies?
Coldstream Laboratories was part of the UK network that limited their ability to leverage what they needed to make Coldstream more efficient, secure, and compliant. It took weeks/months to get some of the simplest changes and repairs done. They were operating on UK’s Cisco phone solution for which they paid a sizable monthly fee. Coldstream wanted to sever their business and financial commitment to UK. Unified Technologies worked with their team throughout our discovery process and in November 2011, Coldstream contracted with Unified Technologies to install a ShoreTel solution. Since that initial purchase, Unified Technologies has performed multiple projects that include cabling, fiber, and door access controls.
Tell us about your company and what you do.
Coldstream was founded in 2007 and is majority owned by University of Kentucky Research
Foundation (an affiliate of the University of Kentucky). Coldstream is a specialty
pharmaceutical contract manufacturer with an emphasis on clinical trial to commercial-scale
manufacturing of sterile liquid and lyophilized parenterals and injectables.
