Kohl’s Chewbacca Woman
If you haven’t seen the video already, go ahead and make your day spectacular by clicking this link. The Chewbacca lady has the most contagious laugh ever, and the mask brought her so much joy. The video went viral rapidly, and Kohl’s took notice. As a thank you for the great marketing, and because they thought she was so great, they gave her and her family a bunch of Star Wars gear, including extra masks. The video alone has propelled her into fame, resulting in lots of deals.
Zappos
Zappos often refuses exchanges, but it’s not what you think. Instead of having customers return shoes to them for exchange, they allow the customers to keep the pair, and send them a free one as well.
In addition, we have seen stories of Zappos employees sending flowers to customers upon learning of a death or a special occasion. Often, those sorts of topics come up in passing while on the phone with customer service. Check out this article about awesome Zappos stories.
Hammacher Schlemmer
Recently a mishap occurred involving a Roomba and dog poop that was…rather unfortunate and yet very hilarious. Check out this post describing what happened, we dare you not to laugh. The end result of this messy story was that the kind folks at Hammacher Schlemmer sent a replacement Roomba, free of charge.
