Unified Technologies and Louisville Bats Baseball

A Grand Slam Relationship

We hosted two more seminars this week for our customers. We started in Lexington on Tuesday and held another in Louisville on Wednesday. The topic was security and surveillance. The plan was to bring our customers up to date on the latest technology available to secure their offices and assets. We discussed moving from analog to IP technology and the products available to create a hybrid design with existing analog and new IP cameras. We discussed our Ruckus wireless product line as well as Toshiba cameras and Keyscan access solutions.

It was interesting to find out how some of our customers are using their camera systems. Jerry May, with WTVQ in Lexington explained how he was able to view his parking lot after the last big snow storm and contract a snow plow to clear the lot. He didn’t have to drive to the office to see that there was about a foot of snow that needed clearing.

Michael White shared the solution for one of our customers who needed to connect their corporate office in the Galt House East to a new satellite office in southern Indiana. Instead of spending over $1,300.00 per month for an MPLS network, we installed a Ruckus 7731 wireless bridge from Galt House east tower to a small office in southern Indiana. The solution supports 27 users in the Indiana office with copiers, scanners and a fax machine over a 200mbps connection… Across state lines!

A special thanks to the customers that attended and an invitation to those who were unable to attend to give us a call so we can determine if your system is doing all it can for you.
