We experienced first-hand in December how precious life can be and how important it is to give when one of our own needed blood to survive. We’re thrilled to announce that Ashley Pennington, project manager in our Lexington office, is back to work after the very difficult delivery of her son, Avery Pennington. Ashley’s life was saved almost exactly two months ago. It was saved, in part, because a lot of people stepped up and helped answer our prayers by donating blood for her. It took over 18 units of blood, platelets, and plasma to save Ashley’s life. We are blessed to have her back working with us again.
There are blood drives happening around town every week. It doesn’t hurt and one pint can save up to 7 lives. You never know whose mom, dad, daughter, son, brother, sister, husband, or wife you may be saving.
