LOUISVILLE, KY – Unified Technologies announced today that it has signed an agreement with Christian Academy School System to upgrade its communications network to the ShoreTel Unified Communications Platform. Unified Technologies will connect the school systems’ four locations with an integrated voice and data system that will allow administrators, staff and teachers to better communicate internally. The new system will also allow for more efficient external communications with parents and community members who have regular contact with the school system.
A key feature of the new network is an automated Emergency 911 first responder notification system that provides immediate notification to emergency responders and select administrators of the exact location and room where a situation is being reported.

The ShoreTel Unified Communications Platform will be centralized on the school’s campus, allowing the IT Department the ability to manage the system internally. The Director application that is a part of the ShoreTel Platform is one of the simplest and most user-friendly communications monitoring systems on the market today. The system provides instant notification of communications errors or problems to the IT users, thus making updates and quick fixes extremely efficient.
